Inuyasha je polodémon, který se snaží posbírat všechny střípky posvátného drahokamu, aby se stal úplným démonem, také chce zabít Naraka. Před 50 lety ho zaklela kněžka Kikyo a poté ho osvobodila Kagome, která dokáže cítit posvátný drahokam. Na cestě ho ještě doprovází Miroku a Sanga. Inuyasha je pekelně žárlivý(hl. na Kouga),ale také úplně slaďoučký :)Věk: 17 (50 let byl zakletý)
Zbraň: Tetsusaiga, drápy
Útok: Větrný šrám, Sa-kon-tessou
Kagome
Kagome doprovází Inuyashu na cestě za posvátným drahokamem. Je milá a přátelská, ale někdy i pěkně urážlivá(většinou se s Inuyashou pohádá a odejde domů). Její šípy mají kouzelnou moc, která dokáže zrušit kletby nebo kouzla. Díky náhrdelníku, který má Inuyasha kolem krku mu dokáže poručit "sedni". Postupem času se s Inuyashou navzájem sbližují.Věk: 15
Zbraň: šíp a luk
Miroku
Miroku je potulný mnich. Po cestě se přidá ke Kgome a Inuyashovi. Je rád v ženské společnosti a při každé příležitosti ošahává dívky. V dlani má větrný tunel, kterým dokáže vtáhnout zlo(kromě narakova jedovatého hmyzu). Po čase se zamiluje do Sangy, ale snaží se to zakrýt, protože se s takovým pocitem ještě nesetkal. Věk: 17
Zbraň: Větrný tunel a kouzelná moc
Sango
Sango pochází z rodiny lovců démonů. Její rodina byla zabita až na jejího bratra Kohaka, kterého pomocí posvátého drahokamu ovládá naraku. K Inuyashovi se přidá až jako poslední. Sango je milá a chápající, odsuzuje Miroka za jeho chování k dívkám(ošahávání), ale později se do něho zamiluje. Věk: 16
Zbraň: Hirakoitsu
Shippo
Shippo je liščí démon, který se přidá k Inuyashovi a kagome po tom co mu zabijí rodinu. Není moc silný, ale občas slouží kagome jako dopravní prostředek(promění se ve velký růžový balón). Většinou se hádá s Inuyashou kvůli blbostem a od Inuyashy pěkně dostane, ale pak zakročí Kagome a to lituje zase Inuyasha. Kagome považuje za nejlepší kamarádku.Věk: 8
Útok: houbičky, liščí oheň, létání
Před 50 lety milovala Inuyashu a byla strážkyně posvátného drahokamu. Teď ji démonka vzkřísila a žije pomocí duší zemřelích. Snaží se získat zpět posvátný drahokam.Kouga
Kouga je vlčí démon a má v nohách a rukách posvátné drahokamy. Je zamilovaný do Kagome a proto na něj Inuyasha hrozně žárlí, vždy když se potkají chtěli by se prát. Snaží se zabít Naraka.
Věk: 16
Útok: rychlost(vítr), drápy
